Inspiration: Campbell

I posted this on my other blog, but somehow felt that i needed it here, too.

I want to rev up this blog a little, not so that it gets more attention, but because I really want to use it as some on-line journal, a place where I can keep track of my own progress or lack of it... with the added benefit of being accountable by readers.

I've been struggling, in the past two or so years with getting things done... or made, rather...

The thing is, that in about two months, I, in some miraculous way, that is yet unknown to me, have to be done with my diploma work, so I thought that maybe it was a good idea to use this blog as a way of keeping track of how I'm doing. We'll just see.

Inspiration: Quote

I'm rather tired of all those "Keep Calm and Carry on" posters and various versions of. It's nice and all but too widely spread.
The reason I put this version up here is to inspire myself to really get to making things. I'm very good at thinking about what beautiful things I would make or do, but most of the time I'm rather reluctant to start making or doing those beautiful things.
Getting really excited about something is a good way to start and I think that excitement is something one can generate in ones self.
So, let's get excited and make things. (An do the house-cleaning.)

Inspiration: A Gem from Whistler

Taken from Mr Whistler's Ten O'Clock Lecture held in 1885, February 20th. Whistler is among my favourite painters. His approach to Art is really close to me.

Identity

So, these are some items from my own identity. Well actually these are all the items from my identity, but the cards are all one of a kind, and I made quite a few of them.
Once again, this was a school assignment from last year.

Inspiration: Quotes

Whenever I'm in doubt (and sometimes I am) about my own capabilities either in art or otherwise, it's good to read texts or just quotes that remind me of the fact that I'm a spirit capable of virtually anything. It's so easy to forget this.
Me as an artist tend to fear being wrong. This leads to creating mediocre stuff or sometimes even to not creating at all. I know I have to be more courrageous and not fear being wrong. On my way to being a great (or at least good) artist I will make many mistakes, and I should not be afraid of this.
