Logo and sketches

This was an assignment at the University. I quite like this... :)
The purpose of the Bologna Process it to standardize higher education in Europe, thereby making it possible for students to migrate between European Universities and Colleges.
The main idea here was to convey the freedom that is gained by students thanks to the Bologna Process.

A Poster

A poster that I made for an old movie, Andrzej Wajda's Landscape After the Battle, and some sketches for the same.
This again was a school assignment.

Bottle Design

Another school assignment from last semester, but this time it was for real, only, it was not my work that got chosen for the real deal. But never mind.
We had to design bottle and labels for three kinds of spirits. This was a new territory, going 3D, but I enjoyed it. I'd love to learn studiomax but this time I still depended on my brother with it.

Some Croquis from our 2007 School Camp

These gesture drawings were made at our school's summer camp site back in 2007. The site is located in Tihany (Hungary) at a lake up on a hill. The little donkey was not part of the wildlife but the ducks were.
It's too bad we only went to this camp just once, at the beginning of our second year at university.

Some old sketches for bridal gowns

These are some designs for my mother's bridal company (www.izabell.hu), but these are ones that never got executed.
They look very funny scanned and superimposed.

Two Back Studies

Two recent life studies from school. They don't seem perfect but they are not bad either.
This semester, for the first time, it was not mandatory for us to draw (I mean life drawing), but I enrolled in a life drawing class so that I won't "forget" how to draw. I don't need to tell that I didn't bother to attend up till 3 weeks ago when I realized I had a lot to catch up on, so I went crazy and started drawing 3 or 4 times a week. There was one day when I made some 20 or 30 drawings (mostly croquis though). At first I really thought I had forgotten how to draw, but to my great surprise, I hadn't. Maybe my mind kept on drawing while my hands took a rest from work.
Sanguine plus pastel pencil on A3-size paper and graphite stick plus graphite pencil on A3-size paper.

Croquis

Two more croquis from last semester's work at school.
Frankly, I love croquis. Don't know why. Maybe because I don't like working on the same thing for a long time. But this is not necessarily true. It depends.
Graphite stick on paper, size ca. A4, each

Teddy Croquis

I made these teddy croquis back in 2006 before I went to universitiy. For the admittance we also had to present a whole portfolio along with life studies and graphic design work, and these teddies were also part of it.

Logos made by hand

I made these logos at the admittance exam for the university. As I told before, we had no access to computers, thus we had to do everything by hand. I handed in the sketches as well, so that the teachers can see my thinking that went into the resultant logos. I quite like these logos. My favorite is the middle one in the upper row, where the negative shapes form a letter K. The assignment was to make a logo for a small theatre called KAMRA (meaning Pantry).

screen buttons

Some web buttons I made as a school assignment. And you can also see the buttons in the making. I created them first in Illustrator from scanned sketches. Then I pixelated them in Photoshop and gave them a sublte 3D look.
